DMCA Policy for Seared Salmon
Seared Salmon respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998, the text of which can be found on the U.S. Copyright Office website, Seared Salmon will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using the Seared Salmon website or services, provided such claims are reported to our Designated Copyright Agent as identified in the sample notice below.
If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, or authorized to act under any exclusive right under copyright, please report alleged copyright infringements taking place on or through the Seared Salmon site (the "Site") by completing the following DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement and delivering it to our Designated Copyright Agent.
Filing a Notice of Alleged Infringement (DMCA Takedown Notice)
To file a DMCA takedown notice with Seared Salmon, you must provide a written communication that includes substantially the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed: Provide a description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing: Provide specific information reasonably sufficient to permit Seared Salmon to locate the material on the Site. This should include the specific URL(s) or other identifying location(s) of the infringing material.
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit Seared Salmon to contact the complaining party: This includes your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

Counter-Notification to a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that your content that was removed (or to which access was disabled) is not infringing, or that you have the authorization from the copyright owner, the copyright owner's agent, or pursuant to the law, to post and use the material, you may send a counter-notification containing the following information to our Designated Copyright Agent:
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled: Provide the specific URL(s) or other identifying location(s) where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or a misidentification of the material.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you are outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Seared Salmon may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
